It does seem like a good deal, one thing i noticed is that it states there is no existing warranty. How can a '06 LS with 8k miles NOT have a factory warranty? Maybe its a lemon or something? Flood Car? Seeing as i live not too far from Winter Haven i would be very suspect of this car. That entire area was a federal flood disaster area earlier during this summer. I'd be willing to bet that Carfax has this car flagged due to the previous flooding.

i asked him about the warranty. his response....

"This car was invoved in an accdent while owned by a rental car company. they repaired it back to new condition, but it voided the warranty. I can tell you this car runs and drives great!! It has no hidden problems. If it did I would just take it back to auction. Should you be the winning bidder, you would have a great car at a cheap price."

Sounds like a rebuilt salvage title.
It must have been written off by an insurance co to have no warranty.
Someone bought the salvage and "rebuilt" it.

He should be clearer about the damage and warranty situation. That's what makes me nervous about buying from E-Bay.

i wrote back to him saying that that sort of information is quite relevant and should be mentioned in the listing. he replies...

"We were no made aware of this information until we started asking questions to the seller. I am a listing service, the listing has now been updated with that information. The answer I gave you happened within moments of speaking with the seller, and it was disclosed to you prior to us being able to update the auction screen. I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding."

by the way, 04sct, nice holster

You know its one thing to have a previous accident, but thats a whole different deal to have such a low mileage car written off like that. Think about it, in order to have that car get totaled and its warranty voided it must have had very significant and expensive damage, based on its book value the damage must have been alteast $10-12k. Thats one hell of an accident and regardless of how good of a deal it might be i would never buy a car with that kind of history, especially with how finicky the LS can be. Looks like his wife will be getting a white LS.
