Not sure about vin but I believe you can tell by the front and rear bumpers. If there is NO chrome on the front and rear bumpers I think that means it's "sport".

There's no way to tell from the VIN. On 2nd gen V8 LSes, the only obvious way to tell between the Sport and non-Sport is the shifter--Sports have the SST shifter and the non-Sports don't. (Non-Sports also have stock 16" wheels.) The easiest way to differentiate between Sport and Ultimate in the V8s (both of which have the Sport suspension) is to look at the rear seat headrests: the Ultimates have the adjustable ones.

Yours is a 2003 V8, which includes the Sport suspension, SST transmission, and 17-inch wheels. For 2003, that's about as sporty as it gets.
