i have a set of front airshocks im looking to see if i can compress them so when i ship them they fit into a smaller box...

i dont want to damage these ... so ... if its possible ..let me know

Can I assume the air is out? Mine new ones were not easy to compress, but doable. Maybe use some rope to wrap around while someone helps to push them down.

But it may not be best for the shock, not sure. My new ones came semi-inflated in OEM boxes.

you can remove the solenoids, compress, then install. or the valves open with voltage, so you could energize the solenoids then cut power when compressed. if your selling without the solenoids then i dunno

you think if i tie rope around both ends and then put a bar/rod in the rope and twist ... it might compress...

it wont damage the bags cause the air can escape through where the selonoids were..right??

so im guessing once i compress them ...they wont stay that way by themselves??...

stupid box is 2" too short.. the next smallest box i can find that they fit it needs a crap load of packing cause its triple the size.. and shipping will double

ehhh... i think ill just get the bigger box ... just seems like too much trouble ..and i dont wanna risk it exploding outta the box

thanx for the help guys !!

a lot of brand new shocks & struts come compressed & tied with a wire. You will be ok. Just tie em good so they don't come lose & open up in the box.
