Anyone watch or are MMA fans of the sport?

Tonite is the 2 big fights,

St. Pierre vs Jake Shields

Jose Aldo vs Mark Hominic

I like to see Jake Shields and Marc Hominic both take the titles away.

It is on PPV tonite at 9:30, and the pre-lims are on spike tonite @ 8:00.


I have been a fan of MMA and UFC since their early days of no weight classes and tournies of elimination til last man standing. I can never get enough of it.

I know, weve all heard it before, but this might be Randy's last fight. Randy Couture is awesome but i think he met his match this time with Machida. i pick Lyoto by submission.

Randy likes to be a pressure fighter and I think that Machida is not going to fair to well with Randy's pressure and putting him up against the ring and Randy's short puching to face. I think Randy is going to shock alot of people.

I would like to see Shields beat GSP, but it just does not seem likely. It would be nice to bring the title back to the states, been in Canada long enough.

Out of the whole card, I think the fight of the nite will be the Aldo and Hominic fight.

Randy has already announced this will be his last fight, for real this time. It's his last fight on his contract and he has several movie deals and gym openings coming up, plus focusing on his sons up and coming success.

I agree, the Aldo fight will be the fight of the night and will be quick in my opinion.
 
Well the GSP and Shields fight sucked. All they did was trade jabs for 5 rounds. GSP was unable to see out of his L eye for 3 rounds and face all bloody up by Shields. Shields wwas knocked down a few times but nothing else. Shields never took GSP down to his world.

Aldo and Hominic fight was a great one, the fight almost got stopped twice because Hominic had a Hematomathe size of a softball on his forehead, adn was all bloodied up on his nose and L eye. Went the distance and Aldo got the knod.

Submission of the night went to Garza, and the knockout of the night went to Machida for the fake with the left kick and hit Couture with a right up kick just like the one used on the Karate Kid Movie to when the match. Broke out Randy's front tooth with it.
 
Great Fights, the Aldo fight was pretty cool.

Machida's kick was absolutely sick!

GSP Vs. Shields was a little disappointing.......was more of a chess match. However the one good punch shields landed did major damage.
