Bought a brand new battery car runs great, all the lights and super bright etc but when i turn the car off the anti theft light doesnt flash and my fob isnt working...... I have door panels and switches removed and disconnected and passenger door lock assembly that is broken/party removed so I do have the door ajar light on at the moment..

Would all this fuckery cause my alarm to not work?

I think that the alarm will still arm and just lock out the bad door, but I'm not 100% on that. To arm it, you have to lock the car from the remote, the keypad, or the switches on the front doors. Do the parking lights flash when you try?

It may be that it won't arm if you don't have any remotes programmed in. Did you do the key on/off thing to start programming but then not add any remotes? That would erase all of them from the car.

If you would lock the car using the key in the drivers side door,
does it lock all doors and does the anti theft light begin to flash then?

Does the FOB do anything at all?
Might you need simply need a new FOB battery possibly?

how would i program the remote? i used to be able to lock all doors with fob except failing passenger side which i had to manually lock on the inside

It's in your owner's manual.

How to reprogram your remote entry transmitters
You must have all remote entry transmitters (maximum of four)
available before beginning this procedure.
To reprogram the remote entry
transmitters:
1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.
2. Put the key in the ignition.
3. Turn the key from the 1 (LOCK) position to 4 (RUN).
4. Cycle eight times rapidly (within 10 seconds) between the 1 (LOCK)
position and 4 (RUN). Note: The eighth turn must end in the 4 (RUN)
position.
5. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming
mode has been activated.
6. Within 20 seconds press any button on the remote entry transmitter.
Note: If more than 20 seconds have passed you will need to start the
procedure over again.
7. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that this remote entry
transmitter has been programmed.
8. Repeat Step 6 to program each additional remote entry transmitter.
9. Turn the ignition to the 1(LOCK) position after you have finished
programming all of the remote entry transmitters.
10. The doors will lock, then unlock, to confirm that the programming
mode has been exited.

Hey, Joe. I just tried that on my 02 Sport and I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what. I tried that going from off position to run (without starting it) 8 times within 10 seconds but nothing happens. The doors don't lock at the end of it nor any difference in the instrument lights. My original remote isn't wanting to unlock the car anymore so I got 2 new ones and can't program them. I looked in Forscan light that I have in the head unit because I saw from a search that it might be done that way but I don't see anything in it to do that.
I'm not gonna have to get a shop or go to a dealer to program it, am I?

You must have a 1st gen then (2000-2002). Those instructions only apply to a 2nd gen (2003-2006). For the 1st gen, you will have to use Forscan to program in new remotes. (You need the full version of Forscan.)

Oh. It has to be the full version. Ok.
I'm at work on my cell right now but do you know if the full version is available on Android and how much is it off the top of your head?
If not I'll just find out after work.
