ANCHORAGE (AP) — Hundreds of people protesting the policies of Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin lined a busy street on Saturday, waving signs and chanting "Obama!"

The protest came about two hours after Palin delivered a rousing speech at Anchorage's new convention center before leaving the state to return to the campaign trail. Palin was named John McCain's running mate on Aug. 29. This was her first return since then to her home state.

The protesters, including supporters of presidential candidate Barack Obama and those who don't agree with Palin's positions on abortion, polar bears, Iraq and other issues, lined one side of the street near Anchorage's main library building.

A much smaller number of mostly pro-Palin supporters were on the other side of the street, chanting "Sarah! Sarah!"

Police were at the scene, but there were no immediate reports of clashes.

I guess you yourself see your Obama boy fading.

And I base my last comment on your O.P., FYI.

 You mean they found a few hundred people they could scrape together who don't like her?

Meanwhile, she speaks to roaring crowds of 40,000 in Pennsylvania...

40,000. WOW is all I have to say.

I was at the 1st rally after the convention. Of course the media downplayed it. Said 5,000 or so.

The secure area was 12,500 and that was filled by 7:45 for an 11:00 a.m. speech. There at least that many outside the area that couldn't get in.

If it was Obama, they would have taken a camera shot as far as the eye could see. LOL.

How are Obama's audiences doing lately?:shifty:

Don't seem to hear much in the media. Is Bruce Springsteen traveling out of Country so did the Obama campaign have to postpone some teleprompter readings?

I don't know how his crowds are doing brother. I don't typically focus on issues like those. I was just pointing out the fact that fossten was demeaning the crowd that protested Palin and then inflates the numbers that support her. You can't have it both ways.

Oh, you're so right. My mistake. Actually, nobody wants to see Palin. Move along, nothing to see here. The hundreds of people in Alaska represent the entire country.

LOL at the article, as well..."We estimate that your estimates are incorrect..."

Funny how the media is suddenly concerned about accuracy in reporting crowd size.

strawman.

I never claimed no one wanted to see her. I was just stating that your 40k number might be a little off.

Did I not say "my mistake?" Jeez you're petty.

Actually, I was referring to the article you linked, not you. Try reading your links, you seem to neglect that from time to time.

So I guess Joey is the line-dangler on the left, and aztecwhatever is pounding them to a pulp? Where's foxpaws to entice them and gently set the hook? Now all we need is Phil to come and curse all of us conservatives to hell for our stupidity.

:bowrofl:

Well done. Especially putting Joey and "dangler" in the same sentence.

I don't wanna hear about anything thing being "dangled" to entice anyone!:p

Thank you kbob - imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...:) I'll practice my enticing and hooking techniques.
