I am helping my son-in-law with his 94 Mark VIII he just bought and we are having problem with the air ride. When we looked at the car it slammed and it has been sitting for quite some time. The compressor runs, but the car does not raise and no check air ride message.
Got it home, jacked it up, no air . Plugged tester into the port, and right away get an check air ride message at once.No clicks, no compressor. Took the compressor off and blew air into the dryer. Front nothing, but the rears appear to have aired up but noe the front.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Well, yea the first time, until I realized what I was doing. :D Then with the key on and nothing.

Thanks,

lower the car down to the ground and try again.
If the front wheels are hanging in the air..the system things it's already raised the front and will only adjust the rear.

the system raises the front first..then the rear.

I was thinking about that, so that is what we will try next. He is in the middle of doing a brake job on it, then we can let it down.
Thanks

Update

Still nothing!!! We let the car down within the sensor range, start car, the compressor does not run. Tried a new compressor that I had,
Nothing :(
Plug tester in and instant check air ride message.

Shot air into the drier (yes the key was on)
Nothing :(

It appears that the right front strut or air bag is stuck, because when you jack up the car the tire does not come down.

I am at a loss on where the problem is, or combination of problems.

Any ideas? Or is it time for springs!!!!
