Hi, I have bin doing a little research on hear about the LS offset. But one question I still have is: what is the least offset you can have with a 17x9?
Will these fit

They are 17x9, 5x4.5 pattern, 36 mm offset.

I love saleen rims, but just not shure that they will work.

Thanks

What's the Stock LS wheel (not rim, which is the OUTER part of the wheel) width and offset?
The stock 17" wheels are 60mm offset and 7.5" wide.

Edit: Sorry--that's the rim width. The spokes are all pretty much inside the rim width, so the wheel's not going to be much wider than the rim width.

The hell are you talking about? The rim is the outer part of the wheel. The LIP if you will. It has two rims. An inner rim and an outer rim.

The wheel is the whole metal piece, as pictured in the picture above. Unfortunately, people call wheels "rims" because they just don't know any better, or because "rim" sounds cooler. But it is the wrong terminology. It's called a WHEEL.

Anyways. See below for offset info.

Basically, the inner rim of the wheel will be 5mm more towards the car,- this does not take into account if you use overwidth tires-, and the outer rim will stick out an extra 43mm from the stock offset. In other words, it will stick out 1.6929 inches farther than the stock LS wheel. Aka. Ghetto Messican style.

Dunno, I was too busy trying to figure out what the hell you were talking about. I know what the difference between a wheel and a rim is, which is why asking for a wheel width when you want the rim width is a bit confusing. FYI, most LS wheels don't have that "lip" on the rim, which is why they require stick-on weights.

Those are just an Eagle Alloy 077 and they come in 5x108 in both 17" and 18". I had those on my Grand Prix. That is the wheel of choice for GP's;)

True. However, Eagle only goes up to 7 wide. I was wanted at least a 8.5 wide wheel.
