So Im getting my other LS wrapped up to sell this spring. I bought it as a parts car a while back because it was suppose to have a blown block... turns out it was just timing chains, and hopefully (with Hites help...even though the hard parts done) will have the engine done in a week or two.

I found a local guy parting out the same color code as this one to get the remaining pieces i needed to get this thing ready to sell. But I wanted everyones opinions on the rest...

1.) Fuel has sat for a while now (maybe a half tank)...I'd say a year, maybe 1.5.... Sooo, what you think, Drain?, add to it? octane booster?

2.) Cheapest place for clockspring anyones found?

So I'm guessing I will need to bring my steering wheel puller with me?

nope, have one... actually its already pulled. I attempted to take it from this one and put it in my other... (didn't go so well). Just need a new one to go in.

My Mustang has sat for long periods with various issues that I didnt get around to for a while. I have found that if the gas is 100% gas (not E10) it will run, however the octane will have dropped a lot. I would recommend mixing in some fresh. If it is e10 or unknown you might want to get as much out as possible. E10 can phase seperate if it gets about 1% water in it. The alcohol in the mixture bonds with water molecules and seperates from the gas. This means that the bottom 10% of the liquid in the tank is straight alcohol. We have this happen down here with boats from time to time. Condensation in the fuel tank can happen if it is not full, so a half tank could be prone to condensation.

1/3 of a can of seafoam to clean out anything gummed up.

1 shot glass of acetone would clean it out as well.

A half tank makes it a tough choice. Mine sat for 4 years. Had an 1/8 tank, added seafoam and a gallon of fresh, few days later disconnected the fuel line at the filter and shot it all out. Repeated once and replaced filter...no problems since.

I'd put booster and some fresh gas in, run it dry then replace filter. After that do some seafoam at fillups for awhile. Should be good to go.

What year is it, or did I miss that?

sorry..2000 sv8 with 130,000ish. Believe its a one owner (old couple) car....

Thanks all.

I like the idea of using the fuel pump, seems the less messy option.... It has been in a garage majority of the time, if yall think that matters.

Don't forget to give us some before, during, and after pics.

I will, its basically a bone stock, dented up, 2000 LS sv8 with scratches, and pealing paint, but now i have all the parts now to make a bone stock, 2000 ls sv8...supper exciting. (Light parchment gold, of course).
