Hi guys!
Today while driving around and getting on highway there was a need to accelerate quickly so pushed gas quite hard... rpm where about 1500, at first car gained speed quite normally, but around 2000 rpm it roughly jumped to 2500 - 3000 rpm's (felt like tranny downshifted) and then again in the same way to around 4000 rpm and did not drop to normal rpms when it is around 60 miles/h (also it did not gain speed any more), tranny was in D4... When I took off my foot off the throttle car just died. After stopping I could start it normally and today problem did not arise any more. What could be wrong??? Coils? Some sensors? Tranny? I did not have any drivability issues before with my car
Oh, car is Lincoln LS '00 V8. Just solved problems with climate control, now this
Please help, because no ideas from where to start. Dealership os not solution - in Latvia there are no Lincoln dealers, only Ford dealer whitch is afraid to repair anything with Lincoln
