I've been waay busy the past week and finally got a day off to today to wash my car. Especially after seeing that post of the guy washing, waxing, claybar etc to his red LS! Was finished and dried then went to drive and when I started it up there was the yellow airbag light on in the dash blinking.. Kept blinking for about a mile so I pulled over turned it off, waited 30 secs, then turned her back on and it was gone.. Came back later in the day and same thing happened? Any ideas? While washing I didn't go anywhere under the hood just interior and inside the gas door, nothing else?

Clockspring???? XW4Z-14A664-AA $111.06 list and $93.29 LVC cost.

I've already ordered the window regulator and am trying to find struts for this high problem punk.. So I guess what I'm trying to get at is it safe to wait for a week or 2 to order this clockspring or is the Airbag gonna go off in my face?

i would think the opposite. if the clockspring is bad then the airbag probably will not deploy

Everything about the airbag system prevents a deployment. Failures cause a non-deployment issue. Also if the airbag light is on the system self disables, so don't count on it working if you need it. The light blinks the code, either a 3-6 or a 3-2 most likely. I have had both one was the clockspring, the other was the underseat/harness wiring++fiasco++. I think that the underseat connector is the most common problem for those of us that use the easy entry. Sometimes it is just loose.

Amazing, well I'll take that as good and bad news but overall, I'll check the underseat first and see what happens. Anybody know the part number for the underseat connector?

I have this problem now... There are multiple harnesses under the seat. which one am I looking for ? The code is a 3-2 so I figure its the underseat deal, but I'm starting to wonder considering my volume down steering control sometimes becomes the volume up :/ Thanks for any input guys.

If your controls are getting screwy it is 99.99% clockspring...

I too have the airbag light. Have had it for quite a while. Flashes 3-2. Checked under my seat, the wires and harnesses are all good as new. My steering wheels controls work perfect, never have an issue with those. Does that basically mean the clockspring has gone bad and just didn't screw with my steering wheel controls? Or is there anything else that would trigger a 3-2 code?

Same thing happened with mine. I Checked under my seat, the wires and harnesses are tested fine. Several months later the controls went screwy. So, now I'm SURE it is the clockspring.
