Okay,Here we go again with another stupid question. On a 96 LSC, the dark gray square box on the back of the light assembly would that be the HID? I'm curious as to whether that piece itself can be replaced or do you have to buy the whole assembly and if you have to replace one should I replace the other as well? The back part of the gray box on the passenger side crumbled to dust after it was driven into the front firewall from an accident and I need to replace it. I ended up wrapping the thing with electrical tape to keep the guts away from the metal firewall. Funny thing is the light still works,but the outside lens and chrome coated area at the back of the assembly got squished and shattered.
