Alright guys,
Since I purchased my car(2001 LS V8, 103,000 miles) in Nov last year ive had ac issues. I would have ice cold ac as long as I kept the temp on 60, if I raised it to 65 or any other temp it would go hot. WHen it got cold the heat would only blow 90 on one side while the other was able to be controlled with temp switch. Flash forward to February, with tax money I buy and replace: water pump, thermostat, DCCV.( Car overheated on me one day so I went ahead and replaced thermo stat and water pump) After a day and a half of cursing and throwing tools I finally have car towed to my mechanic to finish the DCCV removal and install, I was able to get water pump and thermostat replaced at home. Get car back from mechanic and DATC works great. Flash forward to late april early may, I go to use the temp adjust and when I do I get hot on one side and ice cold on other. No codes showing on DATC self test. Also, if im running ac and stop and shut the car off say to get gas, when I turn car back on, ac becomes hot on one or both sides. But if car sits for 30 minutes or longer this will not happen. Any ideas on what to start looking at? Or do I just deal with super cold and super hot temps from datc like ive been doing?

Thanks in advance for any help

When you say "able to get water heater" what do you really mean? What is it that you are calling "water heater?"

I'll bet you used an aftermarket DCCV.
