Amp fuse blown?

I just bought a brand new 1000 watt sony amp which i kno isnt quite the best..Its powering two 10" subs in my trunk. I just got it installed last monday. Everything was fine until i decided to turn the bass and volume on max to show my friend how loud it was, and forgot to turn it back down...After a good 2 minutes went passed, i noticed the thump in the trunk was no longer there. Now when i turn my car on, the subs come on for a good 3 seconds and then shuts off...Anybody have any clue what happened?

Did you set the gains on the amp to the proper level?

Yea you bought a sony. LOL Sounds like you fried the surge protector in the amp. Take it back where you got it installed and tell them you were listening to it at about 75% and it shut off. If you tell them 100% they probably will say its your problem.
