Well it finnaly happened. My compressor is dead and I am now looking to put springs on my Mark 8 and my front bags are also leaking. What are some good websites I could get the spring conversion kit from? I would like to get the 1.5'' lowered kit. I know this has been talked about before but I can't search because I am at work and should not be on here.

+2. Eddie Spinks is the man. One caution, he talked me out of the lowering kit due to snow concerns here and mine is a daily driver.

Usually my Mark is my daily driver but I have a nother car for snow/ice.

Also can I still fit a 255 50(or 55) 16 tire on my car without problems?

Get your stuff from Eddie at American Air Suspension as Chicken has posted. No better person in the business on our Air Ride system IMO...

Eddie will take good care of you..

Some people have fit 255's, others have had them rub... I would go with a 245 to be safe.

Does anyone have pictures of the spring conversion(both the 1.5'' lowered and the normal)?

I just want to see if the 1.5'' is too low for my taste.

I don't have pics of both of my cars that have conversion on them, but the pics in my garage of my 94 have the lower set up.

They standard height is not much different than a Mark that has been sensor lowered.

You will need to becareful of what size tires you run on the 1.5 lower conversion.

I tried some 245 50 16's on my 94 and I scraped my muffler. I don't have a stock exhaust system but I have a 2 in 2 out muffler at mid car. Speed bumps, raised areas in gas stations, or dips in roads would cause me to scrape.

I swapped my 235 60 16's and I had no more troubles... I'm still careful...

From 225 60 16 to 255 50(or 55) 16 there is a 2 mph difference. I know that this is not much but it could be an annoyance.

I was told that there is a way to change what our spedometer says without messing with the spedo. Is this true? If it is how is it done?

Also does anyone have either of these tires:

or

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...odel=g-Force+Sport&partnum=55WR6GFSP&i1_Qty=2

any information would be great.

Or if anyone has any tires they can recommend that are 255 50(or 55) 16 would be great.

The gen 2's read the speed off the abs sensor... I think there might be a way to adjust it with a tune... not 100% sure though.
