air ride inflation

hi i was wondering what i have to do to get the air ride right before i set her back on the ground. i did gears and put all the suspension back together. with the car on and air ride switch on it will not pump up. do i have to star the car because itis not running and i a taking it to a shop to do my stall but i am afraid to set it down and ruin the air ride.

Is the car up in the air?

If it is it thinks it needs to vent and won't turn on the compressor...

If the car is still in the air I would get some 2" X 4" or 6" and put a pair under each front wheel so that if you are slammed you can get a jack under the car. Some times you need to jack up a slammed car a little (with switch to on) to get the sensors off their extreme ends. Note also that it may take up to 3 complete cycles for the bags to fill.

yes its in the air. so all i have to do is put it on the ground and turn the key to the on position?

yes for the most part...lower it down.. just not "all the way down".
If you set it all the way down, like roadboss said it'll have the sensors at their extreme limit and the system might error out.

Should work just fine once you set it down... if it doesn't try the high power relay...
