The air ride compressor isn't turning on.
The vents are all opening and closing and I don't get a hard fault when I turned the car on, so no consistent "CHECK AIR RIDE" message at start up.
If I leave the air ride ON and start the car, the vents will open up and the rear end of the car will just pancake. If I try a second time, the front end will the fall to the ground as well.
Fortunately, I have a Spider Valve Extreme, so recently I've been able to fill the car up manually provided I have an air compressor available with enough psi. Unfortunately, most of the gas stations with their coin operated pumps aren't sufficiently strong enough.
I have a spare compressor with a bad vent solenoid, so I took the compressor off that and attached it to the newer vent/dryer assembly. That didn't work.
Noting the lack of a hard fault and the functioning vent solenoids,
I don't think it's the relay. Without any other obvious solutions, I tried swapping it with the one in my ABS module.
It didn't do anything either.
All the fuses, inside the car and under the hood are good.
The car has released all of it's air and there is no sign that the compressor will kick on. Despite all this, I've yet to receive a "CHECK AIR RIDE" message.
I don't want to start buying parts to start throwing into the air ride system again, but I'm out of ideas as to how to fix it right now.
Since the car is venting, then I'm left to assume the computer and relay are working, right?
And, in recent weeks, the car would level itself out properly when filled through the SpiderValve.
Suggestions appreciated.
