air intake question

ok i think im probably the only one on this forum who doesnt have one yet.im getting one from pepboys in a couple weeks but im not going to get a kit just a 6inch chrome tube, aluminum maf sensor mount and a spectra air filter .
im going to do the mod where you take the stock airbox and place it on the lower grille and connect it to your heatshield and intake by a 3" flex tube.


but to the point. will the check engine light come on when you install it and how do you reset the code???

It shouldn't as long as you hook it all up before you start the car.

And IMO use a better quality air filter. K&Ns are well worth the money.

yea thats what a buddy of mine said. make sure everythings hooked up before you start it. i may just buy the hardware at pepboys and then get a k and n filter or something. thanks man

K&N has cone filters if that's what you want. I have one like this stuck on the end of a MAF adapter. http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RU-2820
