Air Bag light problem (searched)

Hello everyone,

I have a 2001 Lincoln LS V6 Auto.

I am having a problem with my air bag sensor light. It turned on yesterday for no reason that I can tell.
When I pulled into a parking spot and before I put it into park I noticed that the light came on in the dash. It had not been on previously, but now it is constantly staying on.

I do not know what the problem is or what may have triggered it, so if anyone could fill me in on what may be wrong, or help me possibly fix this problem it would be appreciated.

is it the clock spring? that happened to me before and i replaced the clock spring at the dealer.. fixed it right up.. its like a 400$ project or so..
