So my 135K LS was in sorry shape with shot brakes, shocks, clockspring, running pig rich, and throwing converter codes. Shipped it up to NYC local NickT88LSC who only took a day to get everything fixed.
Turns out 5 of the 8 plugs had oil on them, lucky it wasn't misfiring on me. New set of Motorcraft plugs, Visteon coils, and VC gaskets, along with 4 new O2 sensors, Mobil 1, and fuel filter/K&N filter, and she's pulling much harder at WOT.
New base shocks feel great, no more floating over huge bumps and front end squeak is gone. I think he replaced end links too as those broke during install. Brakes have great pedal feel.
The new clockspring fixed horn and steering wheel controls; as previous owner wrecked it pretty hard (front end crunch and 2001 engine swap), I'll have to keep looking into the airbag light and radio display issues.
Anyway, not reinventing the wheel or anything but I'm psyched anyway. I recently did the front window regulators and a Walbro fuel pump swap, so on top of those this thing feels great. Never owned a new car but it feels like one.
And anyone in the NYC area who needs work done, NickT88LSC is highly recommended!
