Does anyone have an aftermarket stereo w\ subs and their stock 10 disc hooked up? It seemed to skip when I went over small bumps, and Im worried once I put some power to my subs the 10 disc is going to be worthless. Does anyone have subs w\ 10 disc? How does it work? Does it work at all? Let me know. Thanks!

Chris, if I'm understanding you, you're talking about having a stock HU/changer and just adding subs to the system? I did this with mine for a while, and didn't have any MORE problems with my changer. That's not saying much because my changer would error whenever I ran over any bumps that were harsh at all. I was constantly stopping to eject/re-insert my magazine. IIRC, the subs didn't do much to it though. My advice, just get an aftermarket HU. For the money, not having to stop, get out, and get into the trunk to eject and insert the cd's is worth it to me.

I have an aftermarket head unit and subs. My question is should I wire up the 10 disc or just forget about it? I worried that the subs will make it skip to much and make it useless anyways. I to just not use a perefectly good 10 disc tho.

BTW, how u been ryan? Long time to see. Where are you workin now?

is there any way to make it work? i was gonna try this but i couldn't figure out how to control it

If you have the room you can always relocate the changer under the seat, if there is enough room...it all depends on what changer you have and how much clearence there is. There will be less disturbance to the changer while inside, and the cubs will have less effect.

i have subs and use the factory 10-disc and never had a problem with skipping...every so often i get the error and have to re-insert the magazine but thats not necessarily from the subs

I don't know if you can wire the factory changer w/ an aftermarket HU. I would just forget about the changer. It's not worth the hassle IMO. BTW, I'm doing good. Not working right now, but I'm moving back to the Quad Cities this month. I'm excited to get out of Champaign/Urbana.
