I remember a thread up here recently where someone was working with GMS to get aftermarket, high output coils produced... I havn't heard anything on that in like a month; anyone know of any progress??

still prodding at them to get a move on.

I'm shipping them some dead coils by fedex monday.

Maybe then they will gat a move on and start producing product

thanks for the update... I'd figure a higher output coil will also give a more complete, better A/F burn... there by some extra gas mileage :D So I'm lookin forward to it!

What kind of coils do Nobles use? Are they better than what we have or are they not applicable to our version of the 3L duratec?

did you email me from the other thread??

Sure did... said I was interested in buyin some when/if they come out. I've got an 03 and mine are fine right now but I'm always down with the upgrades

Yeah, so I just conversed with the guys at Nobleforums and they said the stockers are fine. That it's an overall problem and not to replace just one; that when one fails they all need to be replaced at the same time.

Well, I see what you were told, but that just shows that the problem is widespread. They say that they use the stockers, because that is pretty much all there is, but they say that they should all be replaced when one fails.
So it is a problem and ford dealers are wrong to just replace the one COP, which is something I have said many times.

Well hopefully there will be a better choice soon.

Me too... tell them to get a move on... they'd sell atleast a couple hundred of these things!!! Shoot.... 200 for the V8 is just 25 people replacing their coils!
