I'm new to the LS scene, so I want your advice on the best way to integrate my iPhone into my factory sound system. Should I go with an aftermarket H/U or one of the aux input adapters that hook into the factory unit? My sled is an '04 LS V8 Sport with the non-nav in-dash 6-disc changer and the 12 speaker system. Thanks!

I'm familiar with integrating the sub amp, but how do I integrate the amp and center console speakers?

The simplest way to do it is to get an adapter (like one of the PIE adapters) that gives you a line-in for the head unit, then use an iPod/iPhone A/V cable to get the line-out audio from your iPhone.

The center console speakers are "imaging" speakers for the factory head unit's DSP, so there's not much point in trying to integrate them into an aftermarket system--just "abandon in place" unless you feel like doing something to cover the holes.

The main amp for the factory head unit is (I'm pretty sure) built into the head unit; the amp in the center console is for the imaging speakers, so there's not much point in trying to integrate it (see above).

honestly, you dont want to. those speakers make use of a Digital Sound Processor that no aftermarket radio will properly use, for the best sound, leave those speakers unhooked.

Go aftermarket, its the best thing I ever did. Pick up a steering wheel control adaptor too.
