Advancetrak recalibration procedure?

Does anyone know how to do this? Is it a dealer only ordeal? I had a PCM update (long story) and now my traction icon on the dash is flashing rapidly. My research points to the system needing to be recalibrated (thanks joegr). The repair manual also says that the icon flashing means that recalibration is needed, but mentions nothing about what is involved. The message center says "Advancetrak OK" even while the icon flashes.

Its a dealer only recalibration.

Thanks. I was hoping that it wasnt dealer only becasue my dealer is terrible....

The dealer I went to to recalibrate mine was worthless. They recalibrated it but told me it was the module and if the advancetrac light came on again they were going to replace the module. It came on again but not flashing and I haven't been to a dealer to have them fix it.
 
OK I picked up the car from the dealer today. For the first time ever (with Duncan Ford in Key West FL) I was not screwed over. They recalibrated the advancetrac and the light is off ($100.52). It is hard to get lunch in Key West for only $100. Maybe I am exaggerating a little... Also unlike other times I have been there they did not F with my radio, get grease on my carpet-steering wheel-and door panel, rip me off, try to rip me off, fail to fix the problem while ripping me off, try to sell me a new car, or do unauthorized work and try and charge me, tell me that work is warranty and then tell me that I have to pay because it is not warranty. And yes all these things have happened.
 
Glad they were able to fix the issue for you without a hassle.

I had to take the car to the next closest reputiable dealer (200 miles away) to get the fan system flushed becasue my local dealer said that I was crazy and that the fan needed radiator fluid (no joke). They did the service and even vacumed the car and washed it while it was there no charge. Sometimes it sucks being in a remote location.

Not as Google or I know of.
The correct term is AdvanceTrac, a registered trademark of Ford Motor Company.
 
I'm treadjacking a little bit but a friend of my dads have an 02' LS with ATS and he swears his car doesn't have a throttle cable I bet him it did as only the 03' and up at throttle by wire. I'm right, right?

That's correct.
 
Good because I bet him $100 next time he brings it up that I could show him there was a cable.
