I've got a couple plug holes that are slowly collecting oil. I don't have the time or money at the moment to do the gaskets. I also don't have the updated coil boots. I've made it regular maintenance to clean out the wells once in a while, but this time I came up with a little added insurance.
There is enough clearance between the plug well and the boot to add a small zip tie at the plug end. Using a spare plug I tightened the tie until the boot fit the plug quite snug. Should be tight enough to keep oil from leaking by. Almost free and surely can't hurt.
I know some are going to say just change the gaskets, and I will, but I think I will leave this in place even after I change them.
If anyone needs pics (pretty self-explanatory) I will post some.

I fear that while it will fit tightly now, over time the rubber will compress and become loose again. In any event, it should be better than doing nothing. You already know what you need to do.
