Hello.
Perhaps someone's been down path and can provide practical advice.
My problem is that I am unable to separate the AC line coming out of the evaporator from the AC line coming out of the compressor.
I've removed that "saddle" spring clip and expected that after some grunting I could pull apart this slip fit. But, does not budge.
I don't know if the resistance is cause by aluminum corrosion/galvanic reaction or the three O-rings have turned to glue or what.
Any suggestions on how to separate the lines ?
I may stop trying to separate the two lines then, purchase a new compressor-side line and R&R them both just to get the job done. (Yeah, costly.)
I need to replace the AC line coming out of the evaporator and, so, need to separate if from the line coming out of the compressor. As far as I know, the compressor side line is good.
Thanks.
Regards.

You are using the correct size quick connect release tool? You did push the lines together while inserting the tool, then pull them apart?
