ABS Sensors, where to get, are tbird sensors same?

Ok, so ive searched more then once...and still cant find any answers.

I've tried all the parts stores, tried online, the dealer, max @ 5 star and I had to post a thread to get down to the bottom of this.

What is the deal with our abs sensors? I'm looking for the REARS but while on the subject lets talk about the fronts also.

Are they the same as a thunderbird? Where can i get some

From my research it seems 93-97 rears are the same, 98's are different.

Then some places i've seen 93-96 fronts are the same, 97 fronts are different and so are 98's...and other people have said 93-97 front and back are all the same.

I want to get down to this, my rear sensor is intermittently bad and id like to replace with new. I've tried cleaning it, i had it on a snap on scanner, the sensor is BAD..

I'd at least like to know where to look for one if I can get new as Mark VIII's are slim to find in a junkyard around here and most places wont even bother pulling the sensor and even if they do....

How do you check an abs sensor to see if its bad or not?

Yes thats what i understood, but i cant seem to find the REARS new so im seeing if tbirds are the same or if anyone knows where to get them?

I'm pretty sure ABS as well as traction control were options on the thunderbird..my 97 didn't have either, and it had the sport package, so that won't be any easier to find in a JY than a mark viii most likely.

I wasnt looking to find them in a junkyard, i know they sell them for the vehicles aftermarket so I was looking to know if anyone knows if the part crosses over to our cars...

The part numbers are definitely different. The 97 Mark VIII has part numbers unique to that year and model. T-birds are different. Whether that means they won't work, I don't know, but I seriously doubt it.
