A Little OT; 2008 Navigator Thoughts

My wife and I are in need of more space for a growing family. Currently she has an 04 Envoy but we need more out of it. I have found an 08 Navigator with 48K for $26K.

I wanted to see if anyone else has one of these and thoughts/review. My brother has an 06 Navi and has no issues in the 88K he has driven it. It will be used for mostly highway driving for my wife as well as 13 hour trips to Florida a couple of times a year. We may tow a jet ski from time to time.

It is coming down to this or a Yukon and honestly I am not sure what to choose. I searched the Navigator forum and wasn't able to find anything too bad. Again, just an inquiry. Thanks.

We have got a 09 and i love the truck. It may not look as good as the previous generation, but it definitely rides nicer; not as floaty.

The truck has over 40,000 miles on it now and had to bring to the dealer once cause the window was moving up and down too slowl.
It averages about 14 mpg. I have gotten as high as 18 on the highway and it was still climbing.

07 and up Navigators have airbags in the back and struts up front. I think they did this for towing purposes so the truck levels itself off.


And, i would even bring the Yukon into the mix. They aren't half as nice as the Lincoln. Very cheaply built/plasticy.

THanks for the reply. My LS is my first foray into the Ford/Lincoln family and so far I have been pleasantly surprised.

Getting 14MPH is nothing new as that is close to what her Envoy is averaging. Before I got rid of my Jeep I was getting close to 12MPH so we are used to the added expense of less economical vehicles.

I am leaning towards the Navigator (like it much more than the Expedition) as I want more luxury.

Navigator all the way. Had 2 of them. an 05 and an 07. loved both!! you will love them too. make sure you check the car fax and get a long warranty with it. incase if u do buy used u don't want one that someone beat to crap.
