A letter from someone who know Sarah Palin

This letter is most likely a fake. Someone (probably from the Obama camp) was able to find a woman named "Anne Kilkenney" in Wasilla through Google searches and decided to write this post. Until I see Anne Kilkenney on television or in an interview with a major news service, I will continue to dismiss letters like this as constructs of the Obama machine.

It will be interesting to see how this develops (I suspect it is a fake, but in all honesty cannot confirm that).

I will point out something about it though... It offer's no new or previously unknown facts. No "revelations". The only negative things are someone's opinion's and conjecture. Nothing of substance to hang your hat on. It is a weak critique at best, based mostly on spin...

If this is the best the Dem's can do, they don't have anything...

Yet I bet if the subject was Obama then you would be touting the article as true.

The link doesn't work :(

What did it say?

Either a fake or by someone who is trying to appear objective but really has an agenda.

I don't know the validity of it, nor do I really care much about politics (until this chick showed her face lol), so like I said, just passing it along. :)

How would you know that Joey? Lincoln LSE doesn't post here very often. So are you referring to conservs in general? Because if you are, I'll thank you to remember how often I've called Bryan out for focusing too often (IMHO) on the Obama muslim/birth certificate/et al issues.

It's not like you to take cheap shots, Joey, and that was a cheap shot that had zero truth to it.

It may very well be true.
She has about an 80% approval rating in Alaska, so that means at least 20% of the people there aren't terribly fond of her.

The letter stinks of a woman with a grudge. I read it and I see a woman who cleaned house and made some enemies. She canned a number of the local government bureaucrats who thought that there positions were safe and regardless of their effectiveness, efficiency, or value.

Fourth, she has hated me since back in 1996, when I was one of the 100 or so people who rallied to support the City Librarian...
And she says it right there, she bears a grudge against Palin.

Fact of the matter is, if you shake things up, if you disrupt the status quo, and if you reform things, those people who were used to the old structure get upset and resent you. The establishment, be it in Washington or a small town in Alaska, don't like being challenged. They like losing even less and often bear a grudge.

The sad fact is, I can see all of that as potentially being true. However, there is no reason to assume that it is true. I'm sure more information will come to light as this election season goes on, but keep in mind, maverick or not, she's still a politician.

So what if it's true. Read the list - most of it is opinion not backed up by fact, and and the rest of it's not even shocking or offensive. Nothing out of the ordinary, really. And I suspect some of it's embellished.

•“Hockey mom”: true for a few years
•“PTA mom”: true years ago when her first-born was in elementary school, not since
•“NRA supporter”: absolutely true
•social conservative: mixed. Opposes gay marriage, BUT vetoed a bill that would have denied benefits to employees in same-sex relationships (said she did this because it was unconsitutional).
•pro-creationism: mixed. Supports it, BUT did nothing as Governor to promote it.
•“Pro-life”: mixed. Knowingly gave birth to a Down’s syndrome baby BUT declined to call a special legislative session on some pro-life legislation
•“Experienced”: Some high schools have more students than Wasilla has residents. Many cities have more residents than the state of Alaska. No legislative experience other than City Council. Little hands-on supervisory or managerial experience; needed help of a city administrator to run town of about 5,000.
•political maverick: not at all
•gutsy: absolutely!
•open & transparent: ??? Good at keeping secrets. Not good at explaining actions.
•has a developed philosophy of public policy: no
•”a Greenie”: no. Turned Wasilla into a wasteland of big box stores and disconnected parking lots. Is pro-drilling off-shore and in ANWR.
•fiscal conservative: not by my definition!
•pro-infrastructure: No. Promoted a sports complex and park in a city without a sewage treatment plant or storm drainage system. Built streets to early 20th century standards.
•pro-tax relief: Lowered taxes for businesses, increased tax burden on residents
•pro-small government: No. Oversaw greatest expansion of city government in Wasilla’s history.
•pro-labor/pro-union. No. Just because her husband works union doesn’t make her pro-labor. I have seen nothing to support any claim that she is pro-labor/pro-union.

It's not really a "true or not" kind of article.
It's the opinion of someone from Alaska.

The only issue I see that's subject to the true or not distinction is if the woman exists and if she actually is familiar with Palin. I don't doubt that she is, this is her moment in the sun.

And she says it right there, she bears a grudge against Palin.

actually, that reads as palin would have a grudge against her. but then i don't really give a sh!t about american politics. but this has been the section for a lot of amusement for the past couple of months.
