a/c issues...help please

been having problems with my a/c

blows pretty cold at idle for about 10-20 minutes.

stop and go traffic it blows cold for the first 5 minutes if that. then it seems to blow hot air under acceleration. the air comming out of the passenger side feels a little colder then the air on the drivers side but it could all be in my head.

i tried to recharge the system and it wouldnt take any freon. the compressor kicks on for sure.

vaccum leak or dual climate control unit?

its a 2000 lincoln ls v8, anyone have this problem or have an idea what to check for?

I had a problem like that with my 02 LS V8. I had the heater control valve replaced and it fixed the problem.

drove it home today after work, did fine. im deffinetly confused. at lunch it acted up. so who knows. i can get a new heater control valve for 159$ (half off)
