A/C HELP! PLEASE!!! I'm Melting!

loooong story short.....:mad:...My AC blows out HOOOOT AIR!!! :slam like hotter than my heater...its been over 100 degrees...and I need it! Do you think I should try to recharge it myself? has anyone done this before??? any advice would help. I am on a budget right now....soooo please help!

also, broke dccv does that doesn't it?

anyway. happens all the time. search time.
 
Check the fuse, could be dccv or compressor/clutch.

If it's blowing heated air (not just uncooled air) then your DCCV has failed and needs to be replaced. Overcharging the refrigerant will just cause more problems, not cool air.

DCCV then CCM

Usually a DCCV failure brings a CCM failure. If you replaced the DCCV and lack of A/C or heated condition persists, then the CCM likelyhas a few burnt tracers. Remove CCM and solder jumpers to bridge the burnt tracers.

No, usually it does not on the LS. Perhaps you are thinking of some other car?
