I am trying to get my A/c back to work. There is a A/C line and connector by the bottom of the radiator on the passanger side. It is stuck together and will not come apart. Does anyone know, if I cut the A/C line on both sides to eliminate the connection, will I be able to put a hose over the lines to reconnect them or am I going to have to buy 2 new hoses? Thanks for the help...

I believe that connection is the same spring loaded connectors like at the fuel lines. There is a special tool that fits around the line and gets pushed in to release the spring. You can get them at any auto parts store.

Is it a metal line or silicon / rubber hose? I presume it's metal. You could def cut it and put on a silicon hose on them... Rubber hose will not stand up to the pressure.

thanks guys. The problem is that the o-rings are leaking inside. The Lincoln mechanic tried to seperate them with the correct tool and could not get them apart. I will probably either jb weld the connection together to stop the leak or cut it off and put a silicone hose. Can I get a silicone hose at local parts store?
