I figured since these yrs don't have the slight elbow up to the throttle body there wouldn't be much fitment issues..... maybe length is the problem wut are others opinions....99-01 cobra forgot cobra in the title
 
If you are talking the fenderwell kit you would have to take some measurements or buy on and see. The short one the keeps the filter in the engine compartment will most likely fit, however the stock intake is very good and pulls cold air from outside the engine comnpartment. You will not get the power gains the mustang would see and more likely will lose power unless you fabricate a sheild to keep hot under hood air out of the filter.
 
It's a not much of one. It might keep fan blown air from being blown directly on the filter but will not keep engine compartment air out. I have the 96-98 Cobra kit at home I was going to use(after making a real heat sheild) with a Cobra intake.
 
Well one its not that expensive and id get it for looks and make a heat sheild as well
