I just acquired a beautiful Diamond Edition 96 with a babied 100K miles. I have had a Gen2 for years. The Gen2 has no rear converter, no resonator, magnaflows and a better airbox. The Gen 1 is bone stock. Driven by an 80 year old,he just replaced the whole air ride($1600) new tires , unique wheels with the diamond edition, and great body. OK,,.,,,, so why is the Gen1 significantly quicker? they are both non LSC's. The 96 throws me back in the seat. The 98 is no slouch but would get stomped by my new acquisition.. WHY ?? anyone?? also while I am here.. do the non HID's in the gen 1 just twist out or do I need to twist the whole round piece? and do these cars have 134 a ac??? god , I know,,, one thing at a time... very excited sorry.lol- JOHN
