Today I received my new double din in dash.It was hard for me to swap because I just love my DEH-9800BT and if you know anything about pioneer flagship models you understand why the 9800BT is such a beast radio actually upgrade from. With that said I could of took a downgrade or a side step. However its still a very nice unit I went with the AVH-X5500BHS. it has most features I use its touch screen. The phone integration is much better. Anyway I did not get a bunch of pics of the install that topic has pretty much been beat to death. We all know you have to trim here or there to get them to fit. I will say I was this DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON A DASH KIT. 100 percent worthless.

With that said. we used a little trickery use some wedges of wood with vinyl wrap on them to fit in place to fill the gaps. for right not it works descent. May go back and re rewrap the bezel again but this time wrap the spacers into it so it looks like one solid piece. One thing to not. This is a 96 so its different looking then a gen 2 I havnt seen many installs on those or couldnt really find but maybe 4 pictures on the forum. so here is a couple more to add

i am curious. Does the 96/95 have the air bag sensors in them like the 97/98's do. Mine was empty so i can presume the following. I dont have sensors installing meaning my bags are worthless. They have already been relocated by a previous owner or they just are factory in a different spot. Either way. a little trimming and pushing and it was done. here are some results in the dark.

That looks exactly like my AVH-8400BH head unit. Your air bag module must be elsewhere. The carbon fiber dash is gorgeous and the HU looks like it belongs there. I told you it required a bit of creativity, but at least it's do-able. You know what it will take next time. With my Aviator, the stereo was such a weird shape that I wouldn't have tried. At least our Mark VIII kids are willing to work with us.

I love it. Great job!

Thank this is the second time the carbon fiber has been applied to those same pieces. I have to be honest i really liked the first version better. We re did it because the first time we didnt know it would peal up if we didnt really secure it under the back side as well. this time we went deep with it so it should stay looking much nicer for longer but i really think it lost the awesome effect of the first film.

the stuff you see in the picture here is from vatozone. it still didnt come out to bad

this is what it looked like before. i will probably go back to this film and try to get it to lay out the same way again
