I am new to this forum. I have a couple question regarding my Auto Climate control panel/Cabin temperature.
First thing, I replaced the Auto control panel unit about two months ago and everything was good for about a month.
But I am still having problems when the control panel is on Auto, the air temperature doesn't always change from warm to cool or vise verse after it switches from vent to floor or switching from floor to vent.
The fan speed is only working on High now also. If the system changes its air temperature on manual, it will stay blowing Hot or Cold until the car is turned off and enough has past to reset(if it does reset).
I started having these problems this winter when I was in ND and for about two months it was an average 40 below. I know that electrical parts when old don't fare well with extreme temperatures, hot or cold. I drive about 1500 miles a month from MT to ND for work, and as you can imagine, its not for enjoyable to drive a car if the heat isn't working properly.
This is my only vehicle so I am not really wanting to take the dash out and start checking the different sensors to check if they are faulty and find nothing wrong with them. I am wondering if a vacuum leak is causing this? I am looking for the simpler things to check first so i am not spending all the time or money to tear into the dash and run into a bunch of dead ends. I need some help with this. I have 180K miles on my car, no fluid leaks, minor cosmetics, smooth running, quite, and no mechanical problems. very dependable and know that I can rely on it everyday. I hate to see this be the thing that makes a decision on what I am going to with this car by next winter. I love this car and cant imagine not having it.

Thanks for the help.
