I very much doubt you bought a new one from Ford for a 1st gen. This is the correct part:

Yes , it came as a hugh surprise that the dealer has or had a rare parts inventory. Its name is Ganley Ford, Barber road, Akron Ohio. That was 3 years back. It was brand new with a 1 year guarantee. I saw seals like yours back the, If anyone is looking and dosen't mind a used one try New Castle auto wrecking , New Castle pa. I bought one from them used at 80.00

That might be the one

This is a terrible board now. You should have bought it. I still doubt this BTW. I bought the only new one I could find about that time. The last NOS from Obsolete Automotive. It was expensive. There are lots of used ones, not a problem to find them. Anyhoo mine went to perhaps the most knowledgeable Mark VIII guy there is, so I doubt they are very common.

WTF does this mean: "It was brand new with a 1 year guarantee. I saw seals like yours back the".

You know what a clockspring is right?

They are hard to get, hard to find, some are broken .others don't fit, everyone wants big price. Now what don't I get?
Pretty near everything. You are a poor troll, although you do try.
