2ND Gen to 1st Gen side badge swap?

I've only judged by looks, but is it possible to swap the LS badge on the fenders and add it to a 2nd gen car? If so, is anyone interested in doing a trade on a black LS? I know most of you prefer to remove badges instead of add them, but in this case I feel it would add a touch of class to it.
 
You can. This is from Deneau manual on the site. I did it to mine and like it. You have to get the ones from a 00 or 01 as I believe they are the only years that came with them. You should be able to get a set of black ones on ebay or CL. If not you can paint them. Is really easy. Hardest part is re-attaching the lettering to them.

Personally I like the look, hence why I did it.:D

Tasca has them but you'll have to buy both the trim piece and the lettering. about 40/50 total before shipping. Fordparts has them as a set for 41 before shipping. Might want to look at the cars that are being parted out. I grabbed mine from erleebird. He has some stuff for sale still. He might have one or two. Maybe a junkyard? Ebay had squat :(
 
I received my badges yesterday, courtesy of Ben. I will be repainting them and installing them this weekend if everything goes well.

Can anyone verify exactly what years/models they came on??? Believe it or not I have one side with the lettering and one side without. Apparently before I bought the vehicle someone replaced parts and I like the one without letters for my car but dont know which one to order so I get the right one???? My car is a 2002 sport.

Ive got a set of non lettered ones if you need one. You would have to repaint them since they are blue but it might save you some money.

Based on what I've seen on ebay, kaball is right. Only the 2000 and 2001 years had it.
 
I always wanted to just put decepticon emblems there. LOL

I guess you could. As long as the emblem was smaller than or the same size as the flat area on the fender badge.

Wasn't there a guy on here that did that? or put vinyl on or something?
