will they fit on the lincoln with no rubbing problems? or will the bigger sidewall make them rub on hard turning or big bumps etc.... pics if you have some!

The tire will be too tall, I have seen 235/55/17 and it was still lookin funny. 235/60 might rub at a turn in.
Go with 245/50/17 if you want it to be a bit wider and taller. 255/45/17s are good, but I dont think that they sit very good on a 7.5" wide wheel. I have those on my 17s, but if I was changing again I would go 245/45/17 or 245/50/17.
