Ok, this has probably been asked several times prior, but....How in the world can anyone get to the Alternator mounting bolts on the model?

• Removed protective under cover
• Removed the Belt
• Battery cables un plugged
• Alternator power and sensor cables removed

Can barely fit my hands into any place with a tool in order to break the mounting bolts. Any suggestions, other than removing the front portion of the car?

-Frustrated

Yes it has... BUT... http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showpost.php?p=414151&postcount=2 Its not an easy job.. but doable...

If you really want help around here... read through the stickys up top before posting

I appreciate it.

Yea, the link in the Sticky is pulling up a 404 error page for some reason. Figured I'd post, and someone would provide a functional link eventually.

Thanks for the assistance.

Keep the universal joints and extensions handy when working on the LS. I've used my quarter drive stuff far more with this car than any other. Everything's tight, but very workable.

you can use a hammer, the bigger the better. might make it harder to put everything back together.

Yeah the link works, but the link that the link takes you to (the step by step) pictures are bad, and I'm not certain which is the tensioner or how to remove the serpentine belt to begin with. This is where I'm stuck as I need to do a new alternator too, for my coincidently 2006 LS lol. Anyone?

Removal of the top bolt is the worst and main issue at this point. Everything else is good to go. If I only had some elf hands to fit up in there to remove this damn thing.
