I have blown a sub with my double din I think because the double din has a small amp for the sub amd when I add that with the small factory amp thats for the factory sub it was a little to much.I have removed the double din for other reasons just need to replace the blown sub. Whats the sub size and any recommendations tor brand and type to replace it with. My goal is to just get it back to normal. When I say blown I mean the speaker works but at high frequency it has a loud raddle thats what I think would be the speakers collapsing. Thanks always. Ps I looked I couldn't find it ok #sorry #mybad

With the infinty reference speakers they do not have a cardboard gasket that sits on top of the surround. And they will come loose, trust me I know if you like infinty and want to squeeze bass from a bass less speaker get some gasket maker and lay a thick bead from edge to edge to better seal and secure the surround.

if you tighten up the screws correctly, they will not come loose. cardboard gasket or not.

OP: honestly, if you want to get it back to OEM sound, just buy an OEM speaker, drop it in and call it a day.

Got the sub in today now I would like to find instructions on how to remove and install new one I got the carpet cover inside the truck down (just cut the plastic clips will replace with removable ones from autozone) the hard part I have come up on is removing the carpet cover on the inside of the car to unscrew the old one and drop new one in. What I have a problem with is after letting the seats down I still have a small part of the cover under the seat part that does not come down how do I get the cocer from behind that without breaking anything
