I know this has probably been asked a million and one times - but I have searched and really can't find the answers I need. Can you guys help me?

I am purchasing an iPod interface and need to pull out the factory radio to connect it.

This is what I am buying: www.installer.com/item/display_item.php?it=FRD03-POD-S

Anyway, can someone please point me in the right direction on how to remove the radio for my specific year model - or is it the same for all model years?

Photos of how to do this and a list of tools needed would be fantastic.

I really appreciate any help.

Can anyone tell me what a Hook Tool and a Dash Trim Removal Tool is.

I'm not sure what to look for and I don't want to snap the tabs off the dash panels.

Thanks

You don't need any special tools.
Use a small thin flat screwdriver and pry on the upper vent panel about 1/2 inch above the radio first on one side then the other.
It comes out pretty easy.
For the panel with the shifter pull up on the rubber around the shifter.
There's 4 tabs that push into slots at the top of the ashtray and an inch back from the bottom but you can just pry the piece out while gently pulling on it.
With the vehicle not running put it in A4 to remove the trim piece.
The ashtray assembly is held in by 2 screws at the bottom and maybe 2 at the top if they're not broken.
Once you get the upper and lower panels out of the way it's only the 2 screws at the top and 2 at the bottom of the radio ac control assembly and you can pull it out.

Thanks 04SCTLS - Perfect instructions!

I can't wait to get my iPod interface in the mail so I can get started.
