2005 LS chrome trim

hey guys first thread here, and after just looking on google for awesome lincoln ls pics it brought me here and wow awesome cars, gave me plenty of ideas for my car

i finally bought my LS after waiting a loong time , shes a black with tan interior , im guessing shes the luxury model from what ive read on here,

i got er for cheap (4k) miles are high but after looking at the carfax she was well taken care of and i plan to do the same , mechanically drives like a dream , cosmetically ...needs a little help

i do plan on getting the LSE grill because well it would look nice plus the grill on er is peeling, ( would painting it black look just as good or should i just get the LSE grill?)

also im having a hard time finding the bumper trim, i know the car comes with chrome trim , my car is missing the the back passenger trim and i was looking for maybe just the piece, or if i could get the whole trim but in black would be great, could anyone point me to where i could find the trim?



also another part thats missing is (and i apologize for not knowing the name so ill try and be as detailed as possible) the part on the door step where the lincoln lettering is, that cover the gap between the lincoln lettering and the carpet, its just a piece of plastic but i dont know what its called thus i dont know where to get it from
i would get this stuff from the pick and pulls but since they only have an 00-01 model im not sure if it would fit

Your LS is part of the Gen II's. You might be able to use that part from a Gen I but I'm not sure. For the cost you'll get it at you can't really go wrong. You can use parts from a 2003-2006. It's a door step trim I believe. If you can find parts at a pick and pull go for it but consider new when needing more of the mechanical parts.

If you are looking to color match all the chrome, I suggest wrapping it with gloss black vinyl. You can't go wrong with Oracal 970RA or 3M 1080. It will match perfectly (I just wrapped my surround).
