Hello everyone! I'm a new member here. I just happen to be searching the web and ran across some posting from this site. I thought to myself this might be a place I could get used to being an owner of a Lincoln and all, but I have a problem and i'm wondering if anyone here could help me...
I've been checking throughout the country trying to find a heater hose (FORD Part #18472B) with no luck. I can't believe that this hose is not available at any FORD parts dealer in the US. The only company that has this part is Cabrera Ford located in Hatillo, PR. The cost of this part is three times as much as the FORD dealer. Something smells fishy about this!
There's more than one way to skin a cat. I used brass fittings to replace the broken hose (see my photos) but now i'm having problems with my truck running hot. Would this temporary device cause my truck to run hot? A guy asked me if I bleed my cooling system? I never heard of doing that, how do you bleed the cooling system?
