like the title suggests i have a 03 V8 Ultmt and when i go over dips on the road, say like on a raised portion of crossing train tracks, once the car gets to the other side, when the suspension comes down, there is a huge loss of power. This has been goin on for about a week. This also happens when i go over smaller dips, with people in the back, i am am not goin very fast at all some times, normally road speed (60km/40mph)I personally think it has something to do with the advance track or something because it only seems to happen once load comes down from the springs/shocks/struts. the car has only 45km on it and the suspention is still good. I know it sounds weird. I have an appiontment to get it looked at on mon, it is all under warrenty, any ideas on what it is or has it ever happen before to anyone.

Yeah, best guess would be Advance track. Whenever I go over the railroad tracks near work, my Advancetrack light comes on. When Advance track is on it is doing several things depending on what is happening. It will decrease engine power or apply brakes to prevent uneven wheel revolutions on the 4 wheels. So probably this is what is happening to you.

Back before Advancetrack I would have guessed a bad electrical connection somewhere, which can be a beach to find, or something wrong with the float/pickup in the gas tank. One common loose connection was power or ground to the fuel pump.

Good Luck,

Jim Henderson

I turn my AT off most off the time....the experience is more fun, trust me.

lol, i know its more fun. i did try it without the advancetrac off, and it still has the same results. maybe tranny stuff?

I turn it off when city driving. I'd hate to be on the accelerator passing someone on the highway, and hit a big patch of black ice.

I noticed it in mine, too, when I first got it. I associated it with my foot moving due to the car going up/down and the throttle by wire which is more sensitive than the older throttle cable set-ups.

well i got the car back and it's tranny related,i'll have to bring it in on Monday to get done, could be out for a while.i'll keep you posted, its still drivable but annoying if i got people in it, and they ask whats up with it, its almost as if i'm hitting the brakes.
