So A Couple Months Ago My 2003 Lincoln Ls V8 Was Driving Rough And Bucking All The Time I Took It In For Service Still Under Warranty And They Said They Fixed The Problem, Now Only 3 Months Later It Started Doing The Same Thing, Only Now The Display Will Beep And Nothing Shows Up? Then It Will Say It Is Over Heating And Then Disappears? It Seems To Happen After The Car Warms Up While Driving, Not So Much Hard Shifting, Just A Lot Of Bucking And Roughness In The Idle And Driving, Very Hard To Drive Up The Street? The Car Just Went Out Of Warranty And My Dealer ALWAYS Finds A Way To Make Me Pay For Repairs Even If It Is Covered.. http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com//images/smilies/mad.gif Does Anyone Have An Idea On What This Could Be? BTW On My Other Thread I Was Having A Little Big Of Oil Coming Out Of The VCT On The Head. Tried Searching The VCT To Find The Part To Repair And Came Up With Nothing? I Think That Might Be The Burning Smell? Let Me Know Thanks For The Help In Advance!!

sounds like the roughness could be Ignition coils or valve cover gaskets. That could possibly explain the misplaced oil as well. Sombody else will chime in im sure.

Ok thanks ill fix the VCT first and put the engine back together and see what happens, but i love this car! and i just keep having problem after problem with it. its a shame because it is in mint condition and barely driven because it always has problems. but thanks for the help if you have any other suggestions let me know!
