So here's the situation, any advice would be greatly appreciated:

I first began having problems driving down the highway as my LS failed to shift into 4th, and from 4th into overdrive. I got the codes read and they were:
0734
0735
0795
0791

I suspected it was the 4-3 prestroke valve spring inside the transmission valve body. I removed the valve body, and took it into a shop where they found that the spring was in fact broken. They replaced the spring, and I put the valve body back in the engine.

Upon taking it for a test drive, the transmission began slipping, which ended up being the result of the car being low on transmission fluid, despite having checked the levels (and them being correct) several times when I originally placed the valve body back into the car. After filling it up to the proper levels, the car ran fine, but the shop said it was still throwing a code (TO840) for the reverse pressure switch. The shop assured me that although it was giving me a transmission error code, that the transmission was operationally sound and drivable. So based upon this shop's advice (which specializes in transmission rebuilding), I drove the car for a week or so with no noticeable transmission problems.

After about a week, I noticed that the transmission was slipping a little bit. It only happened a few times, and they were very minor slips, however I didn't want to chance it and took the car back into the shop. This time they found that the solenoid block was bad, and said that I needed to replace it. They told me that this would be about $700.00, which is out of my price range given that this car is making me hemorrhage money over the past 2 months. I decided to replace the solenoid myself, and it went very well - really no problems taking the old solenoid out and placing the new one in. After this repair, the car ran very well, shifting more smoothly than it had in a while.

After a day or two, my transmission started giving me the E code again, but they are much more scarce than before and it seems to typically happen when the car is not fully warmed up. Furthermore, the car does nothing unusual when the transmission error is given - and the car continues driving smoothly and seemingly normal. I did take it to O'Reilly's this morning to see if their code reader would detect anything, and it did not show any codes so I will be taking it to either a dealership, or a shop with an advanced diagnostic computer.

ANY IDEAS WHAT THIS COULD BE? I'm running out of patience, money and faith in my car. I do love this car, and up until about 3 months ago it was very reliable. Any ideas whatsoever would be greatly appreciated
