It's finally time to part ways with my 2002 Lincoln LS V8 with sport package, black on black with 165,000 miles. I'm the third owner and have owned it for 10 years. It has been, and is still, a great car. $3,400 or best offer.
The car is very clean and in good shape for its age and mileage. I have made numerous repairs to prolong the life of this car. The engine runs great and the car is still a sports car in disguise. The 50/50 weight distribution makes this a fun car to drive. This was a $45,000 plus car when new in 2002! The Lincoln LS shared a platform and equipment with the Jaguar S-Type. The engine is a 252 horsepower, all-aluminum 3.9 L DOHC V8 with K&N Filter that increases HP to around 270.
Featured Options:
SelectShift (autostick) transmission
17 inch factory aluminum sport wheels.
All season package
Heated front seats
Traction control
ABS disc brakes
Power Sunroof
Dual climate control system
Cruise control
Integrated garage door opener
Premium Alpine Stereo
Leather Power Seats
Tinted Windows (legal)
K&S Air Filter
I will provide a Car Fax Vehicle report upon request. I have used Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil for every oil change. Maintenance records are also available for inspection.
Transmission rebuilt at 154,254 miles.
4 of 8 ignition coils replaced in last 10,000 miles.
New Dunlop Sport All Season Tires at 158,338 miles.
Power steering pump replaced around 150,000 miles.
There are some minor issues with the car. The A/C works and blows cold but the digital temperature setting does not work. So the A/C will blow on full blast until it freezes up (usually after an hour). If you run it on the low fan setting the air will blow cold for hours. The heat does not work very well. I think this is related to the same issue. It could be the dual climate control valve or the auxiliary pump. The driver side seat heater does not work but the passenger side does work. The rear bumper was repaired (see photo). There are minor rust spots that have been scraped and painted with color matched black paint. I'm happy to point these spots out in person.
