Hi guys, I've been reading through the forums all weekend about common issues and such. I'm looking at buying a 2002 LS V6 as my primary car. It has 69k miles on it and the Lincoln dealer is asking $6,490.
First does this sound like a fair price as long as it's mechanically and cosmetically sound?
Second question is more complex. Do you think it is a good idea to go for a LS as a DD? I've owned several Fords in the past, mostly Panthers, a couple of Mark VII's and a Mustang and have had good luck with them. Reading some of the info on here scares me away from the LS a little. I can do a good deal of mechanical stuff myself but are there any problem areas that require expensive or hard to find parts?
Would it be worth it to go with a Ford Premium Care ESP to cover it for a couple of years for about $1,300?
