One of my friends had a black 2002 lincoln ls. He had someone watch it for him. That someone was driving it on the I5. (Hot Boxin) Judging by the condition of the block, there must have been an explosion. My buddy didn't want the car any more. So he sold it to me. I got an engine with 70K and am in the middle of the install. I posted pics on Cardomain here are some pics.

If the interior is grey, wanna sell me the center console?
Nevermind, you are keeping the car.

Yes! I am keeping the car. LOL
But I do have a lot of engine parts. Intake manifold, valve covers, etc...

The car is in perfect condition. I remember always offer to trade Ls's. Well I finally got it. I just wasn't hoping to get it under these circumstances.

Man, I wish I had a 4-post lift.

One of these days, damnit, one of these days!

If you dont mind me asking.. How much was the new engine. and where did you buy it from?

I found the engine on ebay for $1500 OBO. I offered $1200 + $200 SH.

The engine has less than 70k and looks to be in really good shape. Although there is some oil in the spark plug wells on the D/S valve cover. I'll replace the gasket before I finsh the install.

Yeah it really made the job easy. I went step by step using the Ford Workshop manuals. But I noticed the were a few extra steps involved in taking the engine and trans out the top. Since the manual has me drop the 2 cross members, I might as well leave the powertrain attached. I skipped half of the procedure and had everything out in less the 7hrs. Then I was able to take my time and swap the components from the old engine to the new one.

So you're keeping both or fixing it to sell?

:DEverythings back together. Hood's on and now it's time to bleed everything. This otta be fun.
